Mesh - Reduce its size before exploding
[1] Reduce the size of a mesh
- Mesh menu >> Mesh Edit Tools >> Reduce Mesh
- Select a target mesh
- Option: % or # of polygons
ex) 50%

[2] Explode
- Standard tab >> Explode
